Abercrombie and Fitch were very vocal in that they do not want “fat” people, whatever that means, to wear their bullshit clothes. Despite how judgmental and abusive their comments were about people who don’t fit their stick figure aesthetics, the once vehement public outcry has become nothing more than a whisper, an inaudible at best component of the cacophonous background noises that fill our everyday. But now they, Abercrombie and Fitch have crossed the line by making fun of Taylor Swift. It’s not just that the President of the United States has made fun of her, and a slew of comedians, my mother , me and everyone else I know. It’s that Taylor Swift is so much more important than you or I.
Correctly assuming the shirt referred to Taylor Swift’s love life and not Tilda Swinton‘s, fans launched a campaign to have the shirt removed. Abercrombie soon acquiesced and pulled the shirt from shelves. Swifties will be happy to know they can go back to shopping at a store that ridicules the overweight but not their favorite celebrity.
I’m still uncertain why she is relevant to any conversation at all. Personally when I date people I am looking to feel fulfilled and fulfill that person too, emphasis on the filling. When Taylor Swift dates other people she is looking for material to write her next album. This to me is capitalism at its best and should be lauded.
Unfortunately her fans didn’t seem to understand that the only bad news is no news. The more she is in the news, the more she is made fun of the more albums she will produce the happier her fans will be. happy artists are not good artists jokes like these keep Ms Swift relevant and unhappy.
What’s the first thing Taylor Swift does in the morning?Introduces herself, gets dressed, and goes home. Why does Taylor Swift wear green lipstick?Because red means stop!
What’s the difference between Taylor Swift and a parrot? You can teach a parrot to say no.
What is the difference between Taylor Swift and a 747?Not everyone has been in a 747.
What do a Taylor Swift and your computer have in common? You don’t know how much either of them mean to you until they go down on you.
It seems that Taylor Swift fans don’t concern themselves with both the castigation of people who aren’t a certain ideal weight and the subsequently painful social ramifications. They just care that Ms Swift can maintain her surreptitiously glossy image.
