In my post last week: “Women prefer scrawny weaklings thin men are hot and square jaws are not” I learned a lot from all your comments. I went on to talk with my female friends and was interested to see how cultural and ethnic influences played a role in what was considered attractive and appealing.
Another thing I was interested in was some misconceptions about working out and I thought I would address them. So here it is
just for the ladies
Ladies
You don’t have to stick with the pink 2 and 4lb weights at the gym. I promise you, you wont look like a professional female bodybuilders if you go heavy They take steroids. Lifting weights will not make you lose your girlish figure
What Steroids do to Women
Changes due to steriods are more prominent in women because their bodies aren’t made to work with that much testosterone. These effects include
- Changes in the reproductive system including a change or cessation of the menstrual cycle.
- Steroid use can also lead to cervical and endometrial cancer and possibly even eventually infertility.
- Damaging of the liver, increased cholesterol levels, weakened immune system and a possibility for cardiovascular damage or heart attacks
- Face and body hair, Deepened voice that could be permanent, Abnormal menstrual cycles, Increased clitoris size, Decreased breast size, Having a female fetus with male characteristics

Cardio
There are many benefits to cardio my dears
- Improved heart health
- Increased Metabolism
- Improved hormone profile
- Quicker Recovery from Strenous Workout
Cardio also pumps extra blood to your brain, delivering the oxygen and nutrients it needs to perform at max efficiency. In addition cardio also floods the brain with chemicals that enhance functions such as memory, problem solving, and decision making.
So there are many benefits to doing cardio. But cardio will not get you toned. Working out with 2-4lbs will not get you toned. You need to get toned to add muscle to your frame. You dont need to put on lots of muscle. I always wonder about dudes that like deep voiced overly muscular women

Thursday – Chest and Legs
- Bench press
- Dumbbell inclines
- Hammer strength bench press
- Isolated leg machines I miss in Monday
Friday – OFF
Saturday – Arms
- Barbell curls
- Dumbbell hammer curls
- Alternating dumbbell curls
- Barbell skullcrushers
- Rope pushdowns
- Reverse grip tricep pushdowns
- Tricep dips
Sunday – Rotator Cuff Rehab Program and Shoulders
- Machine shoulder press
- Dumbbell Arnold presses

At the end of the day cardio and weight training together will get you lean and toned. Please put the 2 & 4lbs dumbbbells down 🙂
