Over all, the United States is the world’s biggest market for civilian guns.
A Kalashnikov Factory in Russia Survives on Sales to U.S. Gun Owners
As Russia’s military has cut back Kalashnikov purchases, American enthusiasts have started buying civilian versions of weapons manufactured by the same factory.
The Cold war is often Dated from 1947–1991. It ended 21 years ago when I was a kid, Russia was consider our most dangerous ally. Every bad guy in the movie was Russian. Stallone fought the Russians in Rambo, in Rocky, Van Damme fought them, Bruce Lee fought this big Russian Dude, Zangieff was a Russian Fighter in Street Fighter the Game. In my youth the bad guys were always the Russian and the Nazis. But now today:
American hunters and gun enthusiasts are snapping up tens of thousands of Kalashnikov rifles and shotguns. Demand is so brisk that the factory has shifted its focus from military to civilian manufacture over the last two years. United States sales of the civilian versions, sold under the brand name Saiga, rose by 50 percent last year……. American consumers are now buying about the same number of Kalashnikov-style weapons from Izhmash as the Russian army and police. This shift has been encouraged by the Kremlin, which wants to revive a range of military industries by improving their economies of scale and helping them blend military and civilian manufacturing.
Man if I was in a comma in the 80’s and woke up now with American enthusiasts buy russian Rifles to the point they are I dunno what I would think. As Americans it makes sense we love buying stuff and anywhere we can get a deal we will go. Look at American investment in Vietnam
4 Decades on, U.S. Starts Cleanup of Agent Orange in Vietnam
We started investing money into Vietnam long before we cleaned up Agent orange, so much for ethics and morals.
Bottom Line: I’m Scared
American gun sales rose sharply in 2009, after President Obama’s election and the onset of economic recession. (Nothing about us buying more food during a recession because that would make sense.) Black president in office, recession rise of Gun sales, killings in Colorado, Anaheim Police going crazy, people being spied on by the government. This was worrisome but the buying from Russians, the same country we have publically criticized over and over again for its international actions and policies, and violence we love to buy guns from.
Am I the only one that sees something off about this? I need to be held preferably by a voluptuous chica, but don’t worry if u are not voluptuous there are other places I can put my face, like on your shoulder 🙂
