The Imagined Meritocracy & Stupid political stuff on Facebook

MrMary does not vote, not for the next American idol, not for the Presidency etc. I have more important things to do with my time. In a democracy there is a majority and a minority on every issue. It is quite possible to be in a demographic where your needs are not even remotely taken into consideration.

I feel for me its much better if I want to be of service to my nation to use my talents and intelligence to create  something in the community I am in  to  address the needs locally in an area where I am in tune with and I have done this. I’ve put my money where my mouth is.

Also more importantly I look around at the people at the schools I went to, at the Ivy league students I’ve tutored, politicians I’ve met and you know what I’ve found that:

there is enough treachery, hatred violence absurdity in the average
human being to supply any given army on any given day

and the best at murder are those who preach against it
and the best at hate are those who preach love
and the best at war finally are those who preach peace

those who preach god, need god
those who preach peace do not have peace
those who preach peace do not have love

Republican & Democrat Friends

beware the average man the average woman
beware their love, their love is average
seeks average

but there is genius in their hatred
there is enough genius in their hatred to kill you
to kill anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
they will attempt to destroy anything
that differs from their own

Republicans

They take really big shits, but of course swear that something else stinks around here

As someone who doesn’t vote and would rather pour honey of my phallus and let fire ants at it rather than listen to or participate in political discourse I am quite objective. When it comes to talking about politics. I don’t have a vested interest. The french writer Celine has said that: “I have never voted in my life… I have always known and understood that the idiots are in a majority so it’s certain they will win.” and I agree. So then

it has been written that there two types of people in this world knowers and learners. The knowers are those committed  to being right, they fight to defend their own opinion so they learn very little. They would  prefer that everyone agree with them. Then they would learn nothing but be “right”.

I have some friends who are republicans and every time I post something  they are quick to respond quite defensively. It’s not even about them actually. It could be a joke about politics or a daily show clips,  anything can be a target for them to start their ponctification  and they act like the knowers above. The few times i indulge with fact they immediately question the validity of facts, or the sources quoted and they quote the fore-fathers of fucking Ayn Rand.

They on a whole do not care for social discourse or learning. Tax payer money to them is our money. It is not to be spent on the poor because that’s a waste of ‘our’ money. They play the blame game more hardcore than other other political group or faction. When distinct demographics cant be blamed everything is the fault of this shadowy big government. comprised in part of people from their own party. They love to quote Ayn Rand and to them the slave owning forefathers of this country are like the 12 apostles. That means Gen. George Washington is like Jesus except that he died each night between some slave lady’s legs and rose again to do it the next day. I have rarely seen people so outwardly hostile without direct provocation.  I kind of feel like I get attacked every time i post a bunch of random stuff, and only when I am making fun of someone they happen to not like in do they join in.

Democrats

Been trying to kick themselves for years, but they havent won at that either

Democrats remind of the girls in college my friends would bend over trash can and have their way with.  Do they have a voice an opinion? I’m not saying fight blinkered hostility with more blinkered hostility but they seem a bit effete to me. Tehy remind me of dudes who are so whipped by their girlfriends they end up wearing capris and drinking Amstel Light or MGD64 with a smile.  I think the democratic party carries with it some shame from their pre-Civil War, Civil War and Reconstruction antics…oh for you history buffs:

The Democrats split over the choice of a successor to President James Buchanan along Northern and Southern lines, while the Republican Party gained ascendancy in the election of 1860. As the American Civil War broke out, Northern Democrats were divided into War Democrats and Peace Democrats. The Confederate States of America, seeing parties as evils, did not have any. Most War Democrats rallied to Republican President Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans’ National Union Party in 1864, which put Andrew Johnson on the ticket as a Democrat from the South. Johnson replaced Lincoln in 1865 but stayed independent of both parties. The Democrats benefited from white Southerners’ resentment of Reconstruction after the war and consequent hostility to the Republican Party. After Redeemers ended Reconstruction in the 1870s, and the extremely violent disenfranchisement of African Americans took place in the 1890s, the South, voting Democratic, became known as the “Solid South.” Though Republicans won all but two presidential elections, the Democrats remained competitive.

You would thing having Obama being a democrat and winning would redeem them but nothing can redeem them, once you’ve been castrated you have to live with it.

What pissed me off ?

Recently there has been come controversy over P Diddy’s son winning a scholarship to UCLA. Some people think that since paying tuition isn’t an issue for P. Diddy who

  1. made 45 million last year and is estimated $475 million and
  2. gave his son a $360,000 Maybach car for his 16th birthday

the scholarship should to someone else. I have my own idea on this but that another story. But my friend aka MrRepublican001 has this to say

Why are people outraged that Diddy’s son got a scholarship?  If he earned it, he deserves it, regardless of whatever his father’s income. Oooh I get it, that money could have went to a poorer person with poorer grades and with less athletic ability because Diddy happened to be successful. Now that doesn’t sound fair to me.

Now of course all of this is dicey because the school is owned by the public, which means nobody other than the bureaucrats in charge…but take it up with the bureaucrats, not with the family

It was all good till I read that part: that money could have went to a poorer person with poorer grades and with less athletic ability because Diddy happened to be successful. My friend and many republicans seem to think they Obama, low middle class and the poor are trying to penalize them for being successful. More taxes  on the rich during a recession are an example of this. This pissed me off.  I’m so tired of this rhetoric but for personal reasons.

My Own Personal Bullshit

When You get awarded a scholarship or get promoted to a decent position as a person of color the first thing everyone says is that: You got the scholarship because your black, or you were the highest functioning amongst the blacks who applied, or the law says that there should be minorities here so you here. I’VE HEARD THIS SHIT BEFORE, IT WAS EVEN SAID TO MY FACE MANY TIMES. I did well academically but no way could afford the education I received. Some people think that affirmative action or programs that help minorities are all frauds, and they exist to put less competent people in roles or jobs they  have no business having, yeah and  corporate nepotism doesn’t exist people don’t get ahead of who they know America is really a meritocracy.

Yeah I think that’s all I wanted to say, back to usual jokes,

btw I don’t think any republicans or democrats are evil or bad, just some of my knucklehead Facebook friends are irritating me and I am venting

  1. I agree that Diddy’s son deserves the scholarship. But, since the kid’s father is very wealthy, wouldn’t giving the scholarship up for someone less fortunate be the right thing to do?

  2. Honestly, I’m not sure education matters anymore. We, as a society, have long ago forgotten that intelligence matters in life. We are a TMZ nation, with an appetite for war. Mushroom clouds will erase it all. Sorry, feeling a little bit pessimistic about society these days.
