I had an argument with my sister and another female friend of mine about their approach to losing weight. Their approach was just to do cardio. In talking to them I came across two fallacies
1. Once you start lifting weights you will freakishly huge ASAP
2. Cardio can do it all.
I hit my younger sister with some insults (I have to as I am an older brother) and facts and then set her straight and she got good results. My female friend was still unconvinced so I introduced her to Eva Andressa a Brazilian fitness model (very different fro, female bodybuilder), who does weight training in addition to some form of cardio. She has informative videos supposedly on youtube about exercises and stuff in Portuguese. The picture was enough to convince my friend that incorporating some form of weight training into her regiment could be quote beneficial.
